A politician in Ecuador has lost her battle to have a woman’s right to good sex enshrined in the constitution. Maria Soledad Vela proposed that the new constitution guarantee female sexual rights, a suggestion that sparked an outcry from religious organizations and male politicians. “I think even if my proposal generated laughs and ridicule some parts of society are rethinking what really is a healthy sexual relationship and sexual pleasure,” Vela said.
